Momma’s Day for a Red Star…

My mother, the stunning woman above, is one of the most amazing people I know. Like many mother/daughter relationships we have had our shares of tough times but this Sunday I plan on telling her just how proud I am of her. I say proud because everyone’s lives have their different trials, tribulations, and struggles. Fortunately for us, our bumps in the road have just allowed us to become that much closer.
I wish that for my first Mother’s Day as a Red Star my mother could be able to join me down on the field with the other mother’s but this year she already had a previous commitment that she could not get out of. However if she were able to stand next to me this Sunday, I would simply tell her this -
”Thank you, thank you for never changing the woman that you are or turning away from the things you love most in the world. Thank you for raising me as you did and teaching me the life lessons of truly giving in many more ways than money ever could. Thank you for showing me what integrity, dignity, and a loving heart really look like. Thank you Momma aka Griffen for never giving up on us and allowing me to see what it means to fight for the things you dream about the most”

This Sunday you have a chance to come out to Toyota Park at 5 pm and show your mother exactly what she means to you. She not only gets in free but can somehow receive flowers and a massage as well. I wish I knew more details about that, but trust me I have already convinced my host mom to come and try to get ME that free massage
Besides what Chicagoian mother would not want to see some New York/New Jersiers going down in prime time fashion … Come on folks without your help on Sunday we wont be able to beat Sky Blue and become number one in the league. Yes thats right, number one is in our reach if/when we get it done on Sunday with you all cheering us loud and proud from the stands!!!!!
she really does love me, i promise you …he he
